2023 Best of SEMA – Tillrock Art

Ask any kid what’s on their school supply list and usually it will include pencils. Colored pencils for maps, writing pencils (most are mechanical now) and maybe if they’re in the teen years a styptic pencil might show up out of necessity, but isn’t usually on the list.

Traditional pencils and pencil sharpeners have faded into obscurity and rarely will you see a classroom outfitted with the good old wall sharpener that so many raised their hand, for a chance to use, over the years. You might even call the old Ticonderoga a unicorn, throwback ,or heaven forbid, a relic.

Ed Tillrock to the rescue! A master of illusion and graphite genius, Ed has taken the mild mannered pencil and has wielded it into a highly creative tool. Known industry wide for his SEMA (Specialty Equipment Marketing Association) Hall of Fame Inductee portraits, Ed has taken his passion for the arts to the next level as pictured in his booth at the SEMA Show earlier this month.

The artist himself-Ed Tillrock

Driven by a love of art, Ed’s creations run the gambit of subjects and sizes. Commissioned works, portraits, re-creations or modifications of all shapes and sizes dot the landscape of his studio and many of them made it to his booth at SEMA.

Automotive masterpieces ranging from race cars, muscle cars, 20s gems, engine close-ups, and drivers in full regalia, show unique perspectives and made the cut to shine at Ed’s booth.

Affordable Giclee’ prints signed and numbered make it possible for every enthusiast to have a piece of Tillrock Art.

Ed can be found on Instagram: ed_tillrock_art, on Facebook: Ed Tillrock, and if you’d like to discuss a particular print’s availability or even commission your own subject piece from Ed you can email him at ed@edtillrock.com.

Available for purchase in his online store or in person at SEMA his pencil creations boggle the mind and fool the senses so much that he includes an actual pencil in advertising to show that they’re drawings, not photographs.

Thanks Ed for keeping it real at SEMA 2023!
