Toyota Grand Highlander
World Premiere
Tucked away in the West Loop of Chicago lies the Morgan MFG venue. Perfectly situated in a renovated historic building, it was our host for the reveal of the 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander. A World Premiere is nothing to sneeze at and the 32,000 square foot hall covering multiple levels was the perfect fit for showcasing not one, but three Grand Highlanders.
The 12,000 square foot Skylight room housed the main event. Cloaked in secrecy, but at the stroke of eight (pm), Toyota representatives brought it to light and began to detail facets of the all-new 2024 Grand Highlander.
What makes it “Grand” you say? Well, it boasts a six inch longer chassis than its Highlander sibling and three powertrains to choose from to name a few. The top performing Hybrid MAX kicks out 362-horsepower while sporting around town or country locales. Three grades are offered across the three powertrains, XLE, Limited and Premium.

The 12.3-inch Multimedia Display comes standard and options like Traffic Jam Assist might just make your day if a commute dots your daily landscape.
Even with the third-row in place, ample cargo space is available for luggage or even a couple sets of golf clubs, which interests me. Fold down all the seats and there is a cavernous 98 cubic feet of availability.
Princeton, Indiana’s Toyota Motor Manufacturing plant will be the exclusive maker of the all-new Grand Highlander. Late summer will be when prices and availability unfold.
Lastly, the 4,500 square foot Concrete Bar hosted a special Nintendo Switch edition Grand Highlander concept complete with a skin and gaming cave. Center seats removed, controllers, TVs and a Mario Kart Deluxe console was available for media to have a go.
500 Grand Highlander owners will receive a Nintendo Switch (OLED model) console and a copy of the ever popular Mario Kart Deluxe.
