Headed To The Pumpkin Patch In Style With The Mercedes-Benz E63 S Wagon

Farms have suddenly become popular again.  Every pumpkin patch and apple orchard in the nation have entered their prime time of year to entertain everyone from the baby to the grandparents.  U-pick, they pick, everyone picks apples, pumpkins, etc.  If it can be picked it will.

You’ll need a trusty steed to haul you and the extended family to the farm of your choice, heck it might just turn into a road trip to the “best one’ just a few hours away.  Pumpkins and apples aren’t small, you’ll need space to tote them home…enter the Mercedes-Benz E63 S Wagon.  A tisket, a tasket, it will carry your baskets of fruit after a day of fun in the crisp, fall air, in style.

The AMG 4.0-liter V8 biturbo is no stranger to power.  603 horsepower and 627 lb-ft of torque is more than enough to get you where you’re going, whether it be the orchard or the track.  Its 4matic+ all-wheel drive won’t mind country roads, mud or gravel.  Tour with confidence, torque distribution to the front and rear axles is completely variable for the first time, allowing for multiple drive modes on any surface.

This luxury CUV gives passengers plenty of room to relax in the comfort of the front or rear so no calling “shotgun” is necessary.  Fold down 40:20:40 rear seats can make room for more pumpkins than people if needed.  Easy access from the rear hatchback seems almost effortless with its ground hugging design and wide access.

Controls are at the ready and cup holders properly placed.  The sports-car-like feel allows for a fun-to-drive partnership.  Sport seating in the front can mimic that speedster you’ve always wanted and double as the family sedan on the weekend.  The E63’s versatility is endless.  Choose “Comfort”, “Sport”, “Sport+”, “RACE” or “Individual” mode to get you on the right path.

My test drive was full of new thoughts and expectations from this Mercedes-Benz.  It’s weighted feel exudes safety and reliability.  Handling like a luxury car was a pleasant surprise.  Firm sport seats and flat bottom sport steering wheel drew out the racer in me and pushing this wagon to its limits was intuitive.

Beautiful lines that say “Mercedes-Benz” are recognizable from afar, after all, owning a Mercedes-Benz is special so why not enjoy it.

Ending this post with a wheel picture is appropriate.  I’m a fan of colored brake calipers and I don’t think I’ve seen copper too often, a nice touch.

Pricing is not for the faint of heart, MSRP starts at $108, 850.

As pictured and driven by JulesOnWheelz, $138,750.
